The Everett Theater
45 W. Main Street, Middletown. First opened on December 7, 1922 on the site where two other theaters and an opera house burned down. Designed in the Art Nouveau style, this 375 seat theater originally was a showplace for both vaudeville acts and movies. In 1981, the not-for-profit ACT was formed to preserve the Everett Theater, promote the talent of community members, and present a variety of cultural events. Movies are shown the first weekend of every month. Various stage presentations, including musicals, plays, and jazz concerts are held through out the year. The Everett Theater was featured in the movie “Dead Poets Society” starring Robin Williams, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Phone: 378-1200.

Historic Houses of Odessa
Main St., Odessa. Step into the past with a tour of restored 18th- and 19th-century houses. Living-history demonstrations take place every Friday and Saturday from March to October as costumed interpreters cook over an open hearth. Discover Delaware’s best-kept secret. Phone: 378-4069.
