Lums Pond - fishing, boating, camping, swimming, hiking, picnicking, facilities for many sports and activities, equipment and boat rentals.
Fort Delaware on Pea Patch Island - boat ride to the island, fort with dungeons that served as a prisoner of war camp for confederate soldiers, museum and picnicking.

Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge - restricted public hunting is permitted for deer, waterfowl, and in one small area, upland game.

Delaware Park - Thoroughbred racing and slot machines, Stanton.

Historical & Cultural Attractions
Old New Castle - Delaware colonial capital on the Delaware River. A Renovated colonial settlement of private homes.
Odessa - Winterthur Museum, Historic Houses of Odessa, an enclave of 18th century buildings. Tours 1st weekend in December.
Smyrna - the Lindens and the Plan House are focal points of what once was Duck Creek Village (c 1700).
Dover - Centered around William Penn's Green is Dover's historic district. Dover is the Capitol of Delaware.
Port Penn - Museum, exhibits of wildlife, fishing, trapping, agriculture, mini-country store, schoolroom items.
Old Swedes Church, oldest church in the U.S. standing as originally built and regularly used for religious services. Erected 1698.
