JERRY ALFANO OF WACHOVIA BANK

Jerry A. Alfano Jr is a Vice President for Wachovia Bank’s business banking segment. He has been an active member with the Middletown Chamber for the past three years and he contributes a lot of his success through his connection with the chamber. Jerry’s primary role for Wachovia Bank is to manage existing business clients by supporting their lending, leasing, and daily cash management needs, while cultivating new relationships throughout our local community. His diverse twelve years in banking have helped him become a true advisor to his clients and now even more with the recent merger.

Wachovia Bank as teamed up with Wells Fargo this year, creating the United States’ premier coast-to-coast diversified financial services franchise and most extensive banking network. The merger has moved the bank to #1 in community banking presence (6,650 stores), small business lending, agricultural lending, commercial real estate lending, commercial real estate brokerage, bank-owned insurance brokerage, and middle market commercial banking.

Before Jerry’s career in banking, he served his country as an airman with the United States Air Force during Dessert Storm. He was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, where he also attended the University of Alaska to complete his first two years of college. Once fulfilling his tour of duty, he then completed his bachelor’s in finance at the University of Central Florida. Since then, he has completed several American Institute of Banking (AIB) curriculums and continuing education banking courses to keep him on top of his game.

Jerry is married and resides in Middletown with his wife, Cher, his seven-year old daughter, Alyssa, and five-year son, Christopher. If he is not doing something with Rotary, Habitat for Humanity, The Salvation Army, or his church, and you will find him on the soccer field coaching his kids. He loves these years when his kids still like to hang out with dad.
